GITEC is a non-profit, volunteer organization. Board members, Associates and EAC members volunteer their time and energy to managing the organization, planning an annual Summit, organizing local events, and obtaining sponsorship for GITEC activities. Below are a list of expectations for the roles:
Board members and Associates are expected to:
- volunteer on at least one committee (GITEC Summit, local events, marketing/outreach, nominations, financial management, etc)
- actively participate in two monthly conference calls (typically the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month from 5-6pm via webmeeting)
- attend quarterly work sessions with the Executive Advisory Council (typically 2 hour meeting in the DC metro area)
- attend 1-2 local events held in the DC metro area and the annual GITEC Summit
Executive Advisory Council members are expected to:
- volunteer on at least one committee (GITEC Summit, local events, marketing/outreach, nominations, financial management, etc)
- actively participate in one monthly Board+EAC conference call (typically the 3rd Monday of the month from 5-6pm via webmeeting)
- attend quarterly work sessions with the Board (typically 2 hour meeting in the DC metro area)
- attend 1-2 local events held in the DC metro area and the annual GITEC Summit
- support the GITEC Summit
