Biography

Ms. Ivette Granier-Smith is an executive strategist who has successfully supported the growth and operations of financially strong organizations. Her extensive government IT industry involvement gives her unique insight into the solutions and best practices companies can implement to increase business success with federal agencies. As a recognized leader in her field, Ms. Granier-Smith brings high value and expertise to all of her clients.

Ms. Granier-Smith is currently President of Innovative Government Services, and a principal at Deep Water Point, LLC, providing executive consulting services to the Federal contracting community. Services include P&L operations management; strategic planning, and full life-cycle capture management activities. She actively participates in several industry and government associations:

• She is a member of the Executive Advisory Committee for the Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC) since 2010.

• She has served on the Association for Federal Information Resource Managers (AFFIRM) appointed board since 2008.

• She has twice co-chaired the Industry Advisory Council (IAC) IAC Partners Program, a professional development program for government and industry executives.

• She was a member (last 2 years) of the Government Business Executive Forum (GBEF) a membership organization providing professional development for senior executives in the business of government and is the advisory board for the program for the annual CES Government Conference, held each year in conjunction with International CES.

Previously, Ms. Granier-Smith served as president of Triton Federal Solutions, a subsidiary of Project Performance Corporation (PPC), which is a subsidiary of U.K. based AEA Group. By establishing this subsidiary, she directed the business strategy and organizational development while helping navigate the FOCI mitigation process to obtain a facility clearance with the Department of Energy (DOE). Triton’s main customers were DOE and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

Ms. Granier-Smith joined PPC as a vice president for Information Technology Solutions, leading the growth of PPC’s IT business. She was a key contributor to the 7-fold increase in annual revenue through growth of IT programs for DOE, EPA, and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She also served as the capture manager and program manager for the IDEAI Program, which was the largest single contract at PPC, providing expert advice on infrastructure, design, engineering, architecture, and integration to the OCIO for the USPTO. Other achievements included creating and implementing strategic business development efforts, and helping to start a Capability Maturity Model (CMM) program that resulted in the company’s independent certification at CMMI Level 3.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Granier-Smith worked at AT&T Government Solution Inc. and its acquired firm, GRCI. She held numerous leadership positions in operations and program management, and managed GRCI’s two largest programs ($100M), major Army systems and integration development engagements. She also served as vice president of Business Development Operations.
Ms. Granier-Smith holds a BS in mathematics from George Mason University, and an MA in econometrics/economics from the University of Maryland.
