Biography

Daniel H. Pedowitz is the Business Unit Executive for Intelligence and Law Enforcement for IBM’s Federal Government Solutions organization. He is the leader of a multi-disciplined team of specialists responsible for development and support of client solutions from each of IBM’s business units for hardware and software technology, IT and Consulting services, and advanced research. Mr. Pedowitz is a hands-on manager, assisting clients and federal systems integrators with technology innovation strategy, analysis and solution design, and oversees implementation of mission critical and mission support systems. Mr. Pedowitz provides executive oversight for all aspects IBM’s relationship with clients in his business segment. As Executive advocate for his clients, Mr. Pedowitz is responsible for ensuring that clients have access to senior leadership in each of IBM’s business units to foster collaboration and innovation in areas of critical need through technology planning, joint efforts and “First Of A Kind” initiatives.
Mr. Pedowitz has more that 30 years of experience supporting Federal Government IT clients. In 1982, he joined IBM’s National Federal Marketing business unit as a Systems Engineer and was responsible for technical support to clients in the Health and Human Services agencies. In 1990 Mr. Pedowitz transferred to IBM’s Federal Software Marketing organization where he was responsible for sales and business development for IBM’s portfolio of Application Development tools and services. After gaining valuable SW experience, Mr. Pedowitz further broadened his IT experience holding successful management positions in Systems Engineering, IT Services, and Enterprise Network Management Consulting. In 1997, Mr. Pedowitz assumed his current position reporting directly to the IBM Vice President for Homeland Security and Justice Solutions.
