Bill Rucker joined Trustwave as Vice President, Trustwave Government Solutions in March, 2010 as a result of the company’s acquisition of Intellitactics. In addition to 11 years of experience in public-sector sales, Bill brings over 16 years of business and industry expertise gained from executive-level sales positions within the IT and Information Security industries. Based in Reston, Virginia, Bill is responsible for providing the critical leadership and vision to drive the Government Solutions Division’s sales and business development effort for the Trustwave solutions portfolio into the federal government.
Prior to Trustwave, Bill dedicated his talents to building the public-sector sales division at Intellitactics. He joined the company in July 2001 as the Southeast Sales Manager and quickly moved up the ranks. In early 2002, he relocated to Washington DC to assume the role of Director of Federal Sales and establish Intellitactics’ government practice. This role soon transitioned to Vice President of Federal Sales as Bill built a client base that included over 100 government networks.
Prior to Intellitactics, Bill held multiple sales leadership positions in the software industry, including Southeast Sales Manager at Finjan Software and Senior Corporate Account Manager at Santa Cruz Operation (SCO UNIX).
Bill holds a B.B.A from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and is an active member of numerous government-related groups and organizations, including GITEC, AFCEA, ACT/IAC and AFFIRM. In March of 2011 Bill was elected to the GITEC Executive Advisory Committee.
