The awards were selected from a large pool of nominations by a committee of government and industry representatives. Projects were evaluated based on the metrics by which the project was deemed a success, the approach to secure data, how the project supports the agency mission, best practices that were applied, and any innovative tools, methodologies, or processes that helped the project succeed.
