DOE Green IT mission and tools

Speaker: Jake Wooley

Learn how DOE provides the capability for DOE sites and offices to identify, plan and track progress in consolidation and data center improvement efforts, identify energy improvement opportunities in data center and IT system operations, and automatically rollup and report performance in meeting SSPP and FDCCI objectives without the need for constant data calls.

Greening as a Service (GaaS)

Speaker: Horace Blackman

Greening as a Service (GaaS) is an information and technology initiative to support IT energy management and greening information management. GaaS provides customers simple and continuous analyses of energy consumption across individual and facility practices. The first phase demonstrated that optimized IT-related energy policies can potentially reduce costs by 50%. GaaS is an example of Performance Architectural Science Systems (PASS) where integrated disciplines facilitate performance goals among disparate organizational groups
