Robert J. Golas

 

 

 

Robert J. Golas is the Executive Vice President for New Business Development, Vision Genesis, Inc.  In this capacity, he assists Vision-Genesis in discovering, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the US federal government sector. 

 

Prior to joining Vision-Genesis, Mr. Golas was Vice President Business Development for SiloSmashers, and was responsible for developing program management and program management-like opportunities within the US federal government’s civilian agency sector.  Prior to this, he was vice president with Savi Technology and Oracle Corporation.  With Oracle Government, Mr. Golas led a team of senior business development executives responsible for early identification of new and emerging opportunities within the federal government sector.  Other prior positions were with INFORMIX Software, Infonet Corporation, Wang, and Computer Sciences Corporation for which he performed various roles such as Sales Manager, Manager of Federal Marketing, and Section Manager for 14 physicists and engineers modeling nuclear blast effects, nuclear fallout, and Cruise Missile flights in support of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff. 

 

Prior to the above positions, Mr. Golas was a career US Army officer in the combat arms and information technology fields.  Mr. Golas is an Executive Advisory Committee member for the Government Information Technology Executive Council (GITEC) and former Chairman of the Industry Advisory Council.  He has received recognition for the FCW Fed 100, AFFIRM, and the IAC Chairman’s Award for his public sector contributions, and was previously recognized in Who’s Who.  Mr. Golas has his BA from the University of Connecticut and his MBA from Butler University.
